I was recently invited by Elle, wedding stylist at Inspire Hire to take part in a rose quartz and marble themed wedding shoot. The theme got me inspired to try out a few new techniques that would achieve a frosted, crystal effect as well as result in a white/grey lollipop with a marbled dark grey running through.
The results were absolutely stunning and are bang on trend for the 2016 wedding season! I couldn’t be happier with how these turned out. I’ve added a photo which shows the gradation from clear lollipop through to the full rose quartz effect. They’re so pretty, but SO hard to make, hence why I haven’t added them to my shop yet.
Loving edible flowers, but not sure how to use them other than in salad? I love using edible flowers in my lollipops, the vibrant colours are so eye catching and the flavours subtle and fresh. However, there is a plethora of unique and sophisticated edible creations that can be made with edible flowers. Here are a few ideas I found on the internet that will add something very special to your party offerings:
Ahhh..this has to be my favourite colour combination of all time. The popping colours remind me of the beautiful oceans of my hometown, Cape Town, as the turquoise water meets the golden sands. There is something so uplifting about a turquoise and gold colour palette, it just makes the soul smile. As do my gold and turquoise lollipop favours!
How gorgeous is the palette for this Purple and Silver Wedding Theme? The next batch of lollipops I have to make are for a client’s wedding in Mauritius. Last week I created some sample lollipop favours based on the bride’s chosen colour palette of purple and silver.
To carry on from that theme, as I absolutely love it, I’ve compiled a collection of photographs from around the internet and created a Purple & Silver Wedding Theme Board aimed to inspire brides who love this colour combination as much as I do.
